My Story

Tuning Inwards is a series of conversations that focuses on exploring what mental health means through the lens of incredible individuals who have been in a dark place, turned inside and faced what they found.

It’s host Stuart Lee, had a mental and physical breakdown in 2022 and this podcast fills the gap between expert advice and lived experience in recovering and growing from mental and physical health challenges.

Episode #1: Intro Episode, Stu’s story of PTSD recovery and growth.

In this episode, your host tells his story, including why he started this series, what what his darkest moments were, how he overcame anxiety, insomnia and panic attacks, what it felt like to face the trauma stored inside, what treatments and modalities helped him recover, how he now views mental and physical health & the mind body connection and what’s next.

Josh Connolly is a prominent mental health advocate recognised for his impactful presence in social and digital media.

In this episode, Stuart interviews Josh Connolly, a resilience and breathwork coach who has overcome addiction and childhood trauma.

Episode #2: Lucy’s Episode: Recovery from Postpartum trauma , OCD & Meningitis

Lucy Millward is an actor, director and practioner in both London and Paris, whose work on connection and attunement extends into the arenas of theatre, mental health, business and education.

Here, Lucy speaks candidly about her recovery from meningitis, postpartum trauma and the dark days of her OCD diagnosis.

Episode #4: Dr Craig Dearden-Phillips, MBE

Dr. Craig Dearden-Phillips, MBE is a social entrepreneur who has dedicated his life to helping others through his businesses and personal journey with mental health.

During this episode Dr. Phillips shares his experience with severe anxiety and depression, rooted in childhood trauma, and how he found healing through therapy, exercise, meditation, and a balanced diet.
